Privacy Policy

Clear, practical privacy information for Tima users.

Tima is built to help you manage your schedule and deadlines with as little friction as possible. Most of your timetable information stays on your device unless you choose an action that involves an external service.

1. Information you enter

Tima can store class schedules, venues, course suggestions, events, reminder preferences, theme preferences, and similar app settings on your device.

2. Local storage

Schedule data, event data, backup content, and most user preferences are stored locally on the device using app storage unless you explicitly export a backup file.

3. Notifications

If you enable reminders, Tima schedules local notifications on the device for classes and events. These alerts are created to help you remember important times.

4. Backups

When you export a backup, Tima creates a JSON file and lets you choose where to save it using Android's document picker. Imported backups are read only when you choose them.

5. Internet use

Tima may connect to the internet in limited situations, including:

  • checking for app updates
  • opening the Play Store listing
  • opening the official WhatsApp channel or other external links you choose
  • using Google Play's in-app review flow when review prompts are shown

6. Permissions and device features

  • Notifications: used for reminder alerts if you allow them.
  • Exact alarms: may be requested on Android so reminders can be more reliable.
  • File picker access: used only when you export or import backup files.

7. Third-party services

If you open external services such as Google Play or WhatsApp, those services may collect and process information according to their own privacy policies. Tima does not control how those third parties handle your data.

8. Data control

You can manage your information by:

  • editing or deleting schedules and events inside the app
  • exporting backups to keep your own copy
  • erasing saved app data from the app's reset tools
  • turning notifications on or off in app settings or Android settings

9. Policy updates

This policy can be updated if Tima changes how it works. The website and future app releases should reflect the current version of the policy.
